Join us to explore delicious herbal libations for celebration and ritual. In this class, we will cover simple recipes for cordials, bitters, and shrubs and discuss how you can build off of these basics to create your own original and inspired formulas based on your own bioregion, season, and healthcare needs. These valuable remedies are not only tasty, but they also have their own herbal energetics and actions and we will discuss how we can adjust and alter these in order to fit our needs. We will examine ways that these preparations can assist us in paying attention to the rhythms of the seasons and the land and how we can incorporate these enchanting medicines into our ritual and ceremony.
We will get hands-on as we taste various bitters, shrubs, and cordials made using fruit, herbs, and spices that can be used to make delicious herbal cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages. Jen will cover helpful ratios for making these drinks along with flavorful additions we can use to spice up ‘em up.
